It was in business from 1890 to around 1990. Frederick & Nelson: Considered by many to be Seattle's greatest department store ever.It had skeeball and amusement rides and was open year-round. It was originally called the 'Gayway' before it was changed to the 'Fun Forest' in 1963. Fun Forest at Seattle Center: The amusement park at the World's Fair in 1962.It was in the Seattle area until the '90s. There was even a self-playing piano, a siren that would go off when it was someone's birthday in addition to drums, and a pig trough with one hundred scoops of ice cream and if a group ate the whole thing, it was free.

Customers enjoyed a free ice cream sundae on their birthday and the staff would also come out and sing an obnoxiously loud birthday song. The clerks wore striped shirts and straw hats.
